Nintendo DS Disassembling procedure – How to remove the battery – How to remove the case – How to remove the mother board

Nintendo DS:  DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
Unscrew the Phillips screw securing the battery cover to the lower case. The screw remains captive to the battery cover. Pry the battery cover upward with a spudger or fingernail, and lift out of the lower case.
Wedge the edge of a spudger in between the side of the battery and the lower case housing and pry upward to dislodge the battery. Remove the battery from the DS Lite.
Use the tip of a spudger to pry both rubber feet off the DS Lite.
Remove the following screws securing the lower case to the body of the DS Lite:
Two 4.3 mm gold Phillips screws
One 3.9 mm black Tri-Wing screw
One 3.3 mm silver Phillips screw Three 5.5 mm silver Tri-Wing screws
Insert the edge of a spudger in between the lower and upper case near the top right corner of the DS Lite. Carefully run the spudger along the right edge of the DS Lite, creating an opening in the process. Continue running the spudger along the backside of the DS Lite until the majority of the lower case has been separated from the upper case.
Lift the lower case away from the rest of the DS Lite.
Lift both trigger buttons out of the DS Lite. The trigger buttons are held in very loosely by small metal pegs and springs. Don't lose track of these pieces. The second picture shows the correct configuration of the trigger assembly for reassembly purposes.
Use the flat edge of a spudger to pry the Wi-Fi antenna connector straight up from its socket on the Wi-Fi board.
Use the flat edge of a spudger to pry the Wi-Fi board connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard.Use the flat edge of a spudger to separate the right edge of the Wi-Fi board from the motherboard. The Wi-Fi board is secured to the motherboard with a layer of adhesive. Remove the Wi-Fi board from the DS Lite.
Use the flat edge of a spudger to pry the microphone connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard.
In the following steps you must pull the antenna cable between the DS Lite game cartridge reader and motherboard. Pull slowly and stop when you feel resistance to avoid damaging the cable or motherboard.
Position the antenna cable with its connector facing up and away from the motherboard using a spudger to hold it down lightly in the gap between chips on the motherboard. Slowly and carefully pull the antenna cable until the cable connector is under the DS Lite game cartridge reader.
Continue pulling the cable until the cable connector comes out from under the game cartridge reader on the right side.
When reassembling and attempting to feed the antenna cable back under the game cartridge reader, the cable may kink or become difficult to feed through. If so, try feeding a piece of thread through first; then, tie the thread to one end of the cable connector and pull it through, guiding it past any obstructions.
Use your fingernail or the edge of a spudger to carefully flip up the touchscreen ribbon cable retaining flap. Make sure you are flipping up the retaining flap, not the socket itself. Use the tip of a spudger to pull the touchscreen ribbon cable straight out of its socket.
Remove the two 3.4 mm Phillips screws securing the motherboard to the upper case.
Open the display enough to use your finger to push the front edge of the motherboard up and away from the upper case. Do not try to remove the motherboard, as it is still connected to the upper display via the upper LCD ribbon cable.
Use your fingernail or the flat edge of a spudger to carefully flip up the upper LCD ribbon cable retaining flap.
Make sure you are flipping up the retaining flap, not the socket itself. Pull the motherboard away from the DS Lite to separate the upper LCD ribbon cable from its socket on the motherboard.
Remove the motherboard from the DS Lite. Now you may open the retaining flap for the lower LCD screen in the same way and separate the lower LCD screen from the motherboard.
Repairing a Nintendo DS that is not charging
The EM10 charging filter is located next to the power connector on the motherboard. If the filter is missing or obviously broken, move on to STEP 18 Use a multimeter to test the EM10 filter - measure the resistance between each of the yellow solder pads, and then between each of the cyan solder pads. If everything is OK you should have close to 0 Ohms between each set of pads. You should NOT have any connection between the cyan pads and yellow pads. If the filter fails either test it needs to be replaced.

Remove the five 8.4mm phillips screws securing the Blu-ray control board to the Blu-ray drive. Be sure to also remove the metal ground springs from under the screws in the corners.
Carefully lift the daughterboard from the rear edge. Slide the daughterboard out from under the top case. Do not try to remove the daughterboard yet, as it is still connected by a cable on the underside of the board.
Carefully turn the daughterboard over, making sure to not tear the attached cable.
Pull the IR Sensor cable straight away from its socket on the board.
Besure that you are not pulling on the cables as you remove the plug from its socket.
Blu-Ray drive remains. If you are replacing the Blu-ray drive, you must use the same daughterboard that came with your PlayStation 3. The daughterboard is paired to the motherboard, and the Blu-ray drive will not work with a different board.

HTC One Mini 2 – Disassembling procedure – How to remove the case – How to remove the battery

Insert the end of a paper clip into the holes on each side of the phone to eject the SIM card and Micro SD card. Set the cardholders aside.
Heat up the top grey speaker plate for two minutes.
Use a metal spudger to pry up the left edge of the upper grey front plate. Place the spudger between the inside white plastic edge and the grey plate. Do not pry between the two white plastic frames.
Don’t pry against the glass. Pry against only the left side as there is a delicate antenna under the plate.
Us e the narrow plastic pry tool to carefully separate the black ribbon antenna from the grey plate.
Remove the 2mm screw with a T5 torx screwdriver head from the iFixit tool kit.
Use the plastic pry tool to pry around the edge of the phone.
Pry carefully around the card slots.
Slowly pull up from the right side of the screen like opening a book.
The plastic piece for the power button may fall out. Set it aside for reassembly. Use the plastic spudger to peel the foam adhesive around the camera away from the back plate.
Peel off the long yellow pieces of tape on the right and left side of the copper plate.
Starting from the copper plate, peel up all three woven, silver colored tapes using the spudger or narrow pry tool.
Using the flat end of the spudger, pop up the white tabs on all ribbon cable connectors located to the left and right of the copper plate.

Apple MacBook Pro 17 - How to remove and replace the display of Apple MacBook Pro

Apple MacBook Pro 17 - How to remove and replace the display of Apple MacBook Pro – How to remove the case – How to remove and isolate the battery – How to remove display connections
Apple MacBook Pro 17:  DISPLAY DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
Removing the bottom cover
Remove the following ten screws securing the lower case to the upper case:
Three 13.5 mm Phillips screws.
Seven 3 mm Phillips screws.
Wedge your fingers between the lower case and the vent, and lift upward to release the clips holding the lower case to the upper case. Remove the lower case.
Removing the Battery
Whenever working near the logic board, it is always wise to first disconnect the battery to avoid short circuits. If present, grab the plastic tab attached to the battery connector and pull it toward the front edge of the device. For Late-2011 models the battery connector will not have a tab and is simply a plug that inserts straight down into the motherboard--to remove pry the plug straight up. If the plastic tab is missing, use a spudger to pry the connector up from its socket. Pull the tab parallel to the face of the logic board.
Removing Display
Before disconnecting the camera cable, a small plastic retainer stuck to the logic board must first be moved out of the way. In late-2011 models you can skip this step because there is not a plastic retainer on the camera cable connector. Use the tip of a spudger to push the small plastic cable retainer away from the camera cable socket for enough clearance to remove the camera cable.
Pull the camera cable toward the optical drive opening to disconnect it from the logic board. The camera cable socket is very fragile. Do not apply any upward force to this socket, as it may break off the logic board. Pull the camera cable parallel to the face of the logic board.
Carefully pull the Bluetooth cable toward the fans to disconnect it from the Bluetooth board. Pull the cable parallel to the face of the optical drive.
Use the flat end of a spudger to peel the thin plastic cover off the top and sides of the Bluetooth board housing. For late-2011 models check out the other picture because the connector location is in a totally different location.
Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the Bluetooth antenna connector up and off its socket on the Bluetooth board.
If present, remove the small piece of EMI foam near the Bluetooth board. De-route the camera cable from the slot molded into the Bluetooth board housing.
Remove the two 7.1 mm Phillips screws securing the camera cable retainer to the upper case. Remove the camera cable retainer from the upper case.
Lift the black plastic flap attached to the display data cable retainer and rotate it toward the DC-In side of the MacBook. Pull the display data cable out of its socket. The display data cable socket is very fragile. Do not lift the connector upward as you disconnect it, as the socket may break off the logic board. Pull the cable parallel to the face of the logic board.
Remove the two 7.1 mm Phillips screws securing the display data cable retainer to the upper case. Remove the display data cable retainer.
Remove the two outer 6.8 mm T6 Torx screws from each of the two display brackets (four screws total). We purposely have you leave one screw attaching each display bracket to the upper case o aid in future steps.
Open your MacBook Pro so the display is perpendicular to the upper case. Place your opened MacBook Pro on a table as pictured. While holding the display and upper case together with your left hand, remove the remaining T6 Torx screw from the lower display bracket.
Be sure to hold the display and upper case together with your left hand. Failure to do so may cause he freed display/upper case to fall, potentially damaging each component. Remove the last remaining T6 Torx screw securing the display to the upper case.
Grab the upper case with your right hand and rotate it slightly toward the top of the display so the upper display bracket clears the edge of the upper case. Rotate the display slightly away from the upper case. Lift the display up and away from the upper case, minding any brackets or cables that may get caught.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0:  DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
How to remove the battery Battery
With a plastic opening tool, gently insert the prying end in between the glass digitizer and the silver frame from the front of the device.
Working slowly and carefully, move around the entirety of the face of the device. Small plastic clips should release, if not, apply gentle outwards pressure until you hear the clips popping off.
To begin actual removal of the battery itself, remove the four designated screws with your screwdriver. Once the screws are removed, use either the tip of your screwdriver or a pair of tweezers to pull up the battery connector. Pull directly up and the connector should pop out. Once the battery is removed, it should look as it does in the third picture.
To finish battery replacement, place your new battery where the old battery was in your device, as shown in the picture.
Begin replacement of the motherboard by releasing all connections holding down the motherboard, shown in the first picture. To do this, use your spudger, tweezers, or a plastic opening tool and gently lift the connections up from their ports. Once you separate all connections, the back of your device should look as it does in the third picture.
Once all connections have been released, begin removing the screws shown in the first two pictures. Once all screws have been removed, the motherboard can now be removed and replaced with a new one.
