Insignia Flex 8 – Disassembling procedure – How to remove the case – How to remove the mother board – How to replace the speaker

Insignia Flex 8:  DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the back casing and the screen to separate the back casing from the tablet.
You may need to use a metal opening tool for extra prying power, but beware that it can scratch your device or damage the internal components if the tool is inserted too deep.
You will hear the tabs pop as you separate the back casing around the tablet.
Lift the back casing away from the rest of the device which should include the exposed circuit board and screen. Set the casing aside.
Use a plastic opening tool to flip up the black strip that is holding the orange camera ribbon near the module on the circuit board labeled "front camera" in white print. Repeat this action on the orange camera ribbon near the module on the circuit board labeled "back camera" in white print.
Use tweezers to gently pull on both orange camera ribbons in the opposite direction in which they are connected until they disconnect from the modules on the circuit board.
Peel the grey tape off of the device in order to separate the cameras and their respective ribbons from the rest of the device. Do not use excessive force while removing the tape to prevent tears in the ribbons.
Unscrew fifteen (15) 4mm Phillips #00 screws.
Wedge a plastic opening tool between the black clip and white module on the large, orange display ribbon in the middle of the circuit board. Pull the clip toward you with the plastic opening tool in order to completely disconnect the display ribbon. The black clip holding this ribbon can fly out if enough force is used. Be careful not to lose that black clip.
Use a plastic opening tool to flip up the black strip on the white module which is holding the connection between the other display ribbon and the circuit board. Once the black strip has been flipped up, the connection between the module and the ribbon has been unlocked. Use the spudger to pull the ribbon towards you in order to completely disconnect it from the circuit board.
Pry out the antenna board with a plastic opening tool which is located right above the black internal speakers. The antenna board is glued to the device, so some force might be needed.
Lift the circuit board from the screen underneath and set it aside.
Use a plastic opening tool to pry the LCD display away from the screen. Make sure the display ribbons are not tucked underneath the LCD display when reassembling the screen and LCD display (as shown in the first image of this step).
Turn the circuit board upside down so that the speakers are closest to you.
Wedge a plastic opening tool between the black and white modules on the circuit board to disconnect the wires of the speakers.
On the back side of the circuit board, use a plastic opening tool to pry open the plastic speaker housing. Use a metal opening tool for additional prying power, if needed. Metal opening tools should be used as a last resort, as they may cause further damage to the plastic speaker housing.
Desolder the speaker from its wires in the speaker housing. Repeat this step to remove the other speaker. You can pry the speaker out of the housing before desoldering the wire connections if you wish.

Gold’s gym 430 - Treadmill – Troubleshooting – How to adjust the speed sensor – How to tension the running belt of the treadmill

Gold’s gym 430:  TROUBLESHOOTING
Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the simple steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed.
The power does not turn on
a. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications.
b. After the power cord has been plugged in, make sure that the key is inserted into the console.
c. Check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as shown, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset the circuit breaker, wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in.
The power turns off during use
a. Check the reset/off circuit breaker (see the drawing above). If the circuit breaker has tripped, wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in.
b. Make sure that the power cord is plugged in. If the power cord is plugged in, unplug it, wait for five minutes, and then plug it back in.
c. Remove the key from the console. Reinsert the key into the console.
d. If the treadmill still will not run, please see the front cover of this manual.
The console displays remain lit when you remove the key from the console
a. The console features a display demo mode, designed to be used if the treadmill is displayed in a store. If the displays remain lit when you remove the key, the demo mode is turned on. To turn off the demo mode, hold down the Stop button for a few seconds. If the displays are still lit.
The displays of the console do not function properly
a. Remove the key from the console and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. With the help of a second person, carefully tip the Uprights (73, 78) down. There may be two M4.2 x 16mm Screws (12) in the bottom of the Belly Pan (69). If there are, remove them. Note: A Phillips screwdriver with a shaft at least 5 in. (13 cm) long is required. Then, raise the Uprights.
Remove the three M4.2 x 19mm Washer Head
Screws (13) and carefully pivot the Hood (53) off.
Locate the Reed Switch (54) and the Magnet (42) on the left side of the Pulley (44). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in. (3 mm). If neces sary, loosen the M4.2 x 19mm Screw (1), move the Reed Switch slightly, and then retighten the Screw. Reattach the Hood (not shown), and run the tread mill for a few minutes to check for a correct speed reading.
The incline of the treadmill does not change correctly
a. With the key in the console, press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing, remove the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. This will recalibrate the incline system.
The walking belt slows when walked on
a. Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications.
b. If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may become damaged. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE
POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened
The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on
a. If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. If the walking belt has shifted to the left, use the hex key to turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 of a turn; if the walking belt has shifted to the right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is centered.
b. If the walking belt slips when walked on, first re move the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts clock wise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

ASUS Memo Pad FHD10 – Disassembling procedure – How to remove the case – How to remove the battery

ASUS Memo Pad FHD10 – Disassembling procedure – How to remove the case – How to remove the battery – How to replace the mother board
How to remove the mother board:  ASUS Memo Pad FHD10
DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
Plug out the charger and pull out the memory card if connected as a preliminary step.
Make sure that the device is turned off as a precaution.
Wedge the plastic opening tool between the front and back cover on every side as shown on the photos.
Slide the plastic opening tool back and forth to make sure that the back cover is disconnected.
Remove the back cover.
Remove the protective copper sticker and all duct tapes fixed on the device.
Locate the two ribbon cables attached to the motherboard. Using tweezers, remove the cables away from their sliders.
Use the tweezers accurately as shown on the images, and apply a minimum force to remove the cables to prevent any damage.
Unscrew four #00 Philips 2 mm screws holding the battery tray in place.
All screws removed from the device in this guide and accompanying guides are the same, so continue to use the #00 Philips head screwdriver.
Locate the battery cable attached to the motherboard. Remove the cable gently using tweezers, the same way applied before for the ribbon cables.
Now, you are able to remove the battery from the device. You can then separate the metal frame located at the back of the battery by gently wedging the plastic open tool in between the two parts, and slide it back and forth until the metal frame is removed.
When you separate the battery from the metal frame, be sure to hold it tight on the center by one hand, since the whole battery consists of two smaller batteries joined together.
There are seven screws holding the speakers in place. In the previous steps, you removed four of them, highlighted in red. All that's left to do now is to remove the remaining three screws which are highlighted in orange using philips #00 screwdriver.
The size of all screws are 2mm.
Locate the two speakers cables connected to motherboard. Unplug these cables from their sliders gently by using tweezers.
There are two speakers located on the device at different locations. It is easy to identify them with their black cover. Fortunately, the same replacement procedures applies for both parts. This step includes removing one speaker plug only, since the other cable is identical, you can perform the same procedures as well.
Now, the speakers should be loose and easy to remove. You can gently use your hands to take them off.
From here you can set the speakers aside and replace them with new ones that are functioning properly.
There should be a total of 12 screws removed from the device, 7 of which have already been removed in the process of taking out the battery and the speakers. The remaining screws are highlighted in blue.
Carefully disconnect the cord that connects the on/off button to the motherboard
Peel back the electrical tape holding the connections of the motherboard down to the frame of the device.
The motherboard should be loose now and easy to remove.
