Motorola Droid RAZR – How to replace the rear camera of Droid RAZR

Motorola Droid RAZR: How to replace the rear camera
Insert a plastic opening tool between the back cover and rear case at the lower left edge of the back cover. Pry the back cover up with the plastic opening tool to free the plastic clips. Continue prying along the left edge of the back cover towards the top of the phone.
Work the plastic opening tool across the top of the back case to free the plastic clips. The top edge of the back case is very thin. Pry carefully to avoid cracking or snapping it. Continue prying down the right side of the back cover to free the remaining clips.
Pull the back cover away from the phone to remove it. The back cover is attached to the battery with a generous amount of adhesive, so you may have to use quite a bit of force to separate the two pieces.
The battery must remain in the phone and not come off with the back cover or you will break the power lead.
Since the back cover is made of Kevlar, it can handle a fair amount of twisting and tugging without breaking.
Use the tip of a spudger to lift up the red silicone cover over the battery terminal screws and remove it.
Remove the two 3.3 mm T5 Torx battery terminal screws. Grab the blue battery removal tab and lift the battery out to remove it. There is quite a bit of adhesive securing the battery to the motherboard. Work slowly to avoid deforming the battery. Your phone will have a number of metal EMI shields on the motherboard, rather than the bare ICs seen here.
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive underneath the camera cover. The following steps were performed without the use of a heat gun. Notice that the camera cover cracks very easily if you do not heat the adhesive that holds it in place.
Gently pry up the bottom edge of the camera cover with a plastic opening tool.
Carefully slide the plastic opening tool across the bottom edge to free it from the adhesive. Continue to use the heat gun as needed to soften the adhesive as you remove the camera cover.
Insert the plastic opening tool underneath the top edge of the camera cover. Gently pry the camera cover up as you slide the plastic opening tool across the top edge to free it from the adhesive. Remove the camera cover.
Remove the six screws securing the rear case to the rest of the phone: three 6.7 mm silver T3 Torx screws at the top, four 4.0 mm gold T3 Torx screws in the middle, and three 4.5 mm black T5 Torx screws at the bottom.
Insert a plastic opening tool between the rear case and the motherboard assembly. Work your way down the side of the phone and gently pry the rear case up. Separate the rear case from the motherboard assembly.
Remove the three 2.5 mm T3 Torx screws securing the metal chassis to the motherboard. Remove the metal chassis from the motherboard assembly.
Use the flat end of a spudger to remove the two red silicone microphone covers at the top and bottom of the motherboard.
There is a small metal shield that covers the display assembly cable connectors on the motherboard. This shield is held in place by a few small clips that attach to the surrounding EMI shields. Use the tip of a spudger to gently bend the clips out of shape and remove the shield.
Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the three display cable connectors off their sockets on the motherboard.
There are a number of small black plastic clips on the display assembly that hold the motherboard in place. Release the securing clips with a plastic opening tool.
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive strip around the perimeter of the motherboard. Pry the edges of the motherboard up from the display assembly with a plastic opening tool. Remove the motherboard assembly.
Lift up the anti-static tape covering the camera and earpiece ZIF connectors with the tip of a spudger. Peel back the tape and remove it. Unless you have spare ESD-safe tape lying around, you may consider keeping this piece somewhere safe to be reused at reassembly.
Use a plastic opening tool or your fingernail to lift up the tab on the rear-facing camera ribbon cable ZIF connector.
Make sure you're prying on the tab and not the connector itself.
Push the rear-facing camera through its hole in the grey antenna and remove it.

35 inches (89 cm) apart on each side of the belt near the edge. The belt must be loose enough for you to move it from side-to-side on the front or rear roller
3. Turn the adjusting bolts clockwise by equal amounts until the marks are between 35-3/16 inches and 35-5/16 inches apart. Proper tension for the walking belt is between .5%–.6%. This should be about six full turns of each adjustment bolt from the point where the belt begins to stretch.
Important: Do not exceed 35-5/16 inches.
4. Test the belt by running on the belt at about four (4) mph. Hold the handrail lightly and resist the belt movement with your feet.
5. If you feel the belt slip on the front roller, increase the tension of each adjustment bolt by 1/2 turn and re-test. If you feel the belt slip again, check the tensioner adjustment.
Adjusting Belt Tracking
Perform this procedure whenever the belt moves to one side or the other. Stay off the belt when adjusting the tracking.

Sony PlayStation 3: HOW TO REPLACE THE LASER PICKUP UNIT
Use the tip of a spudger to remove the black rubber screw cover from the side of the PS3.
The screw cover may be underneath a warranty sticker. This sticker will change appearance, and show "VOID" after it has been removed.
Remove the single 8.5 mm T10 Security Torx screw from the smart plate.
Pull the smart plate toward the hard drive bay, then lift it off the body of the PS3.
Be sure to keep track of the small metal bracket loosely held in the top cover, if equipped.
Remove the following seven screws:
Six 52 mm Phillips screws
One 30 mm Phillips screw
Lift the top cover from its rear edge and rotate it toward the front of the PS3.
Remove the top cover.
Disconnect the Blu-ray power cable from the motherboard.
Pull the connector straight up and out of its socket.
Lift the Blu-ray drive from the edge nearest the power supply and rotate it away from the chassis enough to access its ribbon cable.
Use your fingernail to flip up the retaining flap on the Blu-ray ribbon cable socket.
Be sure you are prying up on the retaining flap, not the socket itself.
Pull the ribbon cable out of its socket.
Remove the Blu-ray drive from the PS3.
If replacing the Blu-ray drive, transfer the power cable to your new drive.
A2 ribbon cable was removed in
Step 9 of the previous guide. Now remove ribbon cables A3, A4, A5 and A6 by using your fingernail to flip open the ribbon flaps.
With a Ph#00 screwdriver remove screws 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
Note that screws 11 & 13 are fastening a stabiliser on some models. These are pictured in the third photo in step 9, and you will need to recall their position for reassembly.
With extreme caution move the BluRay control board in a flipping motion by moving the left side of the controller upwards levering towards the right. Keep the right side of the controller close to the BluRay drive as the red and black A7 cable is delicate.
Remove cable A7 which is the cable that links the PS3s disc drive eject detector to the control board.
Remove screws 14 and 15.
Part C is a stabilizer and grounding contact to help absorb movement while the Blu-ray drive is in use.
This may be located in a different area of your drive as decided by the manufacturer. There may also be additional ones. Make sure when reassembling to put this stabilizer back in the same place as it is originally found even if it is not found in exactly the same location as this article. Failure to do so could result in disc scratching.
Remove the silver coloured drive cover.
Remove screws 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20.
Remove magnetic spindle D.
Remove top of drive being careful again not to damage the red and black cable.
Remove screws 21 and 22 and the brackets they hold in place.
Now remove bar E.
Unclip ribbon F.
Remove and replace Laser
Assemble G with new Laser Assembly.
Follow this article in reverse to reassemble.

Remove the four Tri-Wing screws securing the upper rear panel to the inner chassis.
Slightly rotate the top edge of the upper rear panel away from the Zune. Lift the upper rear panel straight up off the black plastic lower rear panel.
Insert a small Zune opening tool into the gap between the logic board and one side of the black plastic lower rear panel. Carefully twist the Zune opening tool to pop the lower rear panel off the clips attaching it to the Zune. Repeat this process for the other side of the lower rear panel.
Carefully slide the lower rear panel away from the Zune.
Use a Zune opening tool to pry the digitizer ribbon cable connector up off the logic board.
Use a Zune opening tool to pry the OLED display ribbon cable connector up off the logic board.
Use a Zune opening tool to pry the control ribbon cable up off the logic board.
Remove the following Torx screws securing the logic board assembly to the inner chassis:
Three T5 Torx screws.
One T6 Torx screw.
Use a Zune opening tool to carefully pry the battery off the adhesive securing it to the inner chassis. Do not attempt to completely remove the battery from the inner chassis as it is still attached to the the logic board.
Use a Zune opening tool to push the small plastic clip securing the logic board near its lower left edge toward the headphone jack while gently lifting the upper edge of the logic board. Use a Zune opening tool to pull the plastic clip away from the logic board while gently pulling the board away from the bottom edge of the Zune.
For this step, it is recommended to cautiously hold the battery and logic board assembly with one hand while holding the inner chassis with the other. Pull the logic board away from the lower bezel and remove it from the inner chassis, minding any cables that may get caught.
