How to set idle current adjustments – Sony STR DA5800AS, key-test, Reset

Sony STR-DA5800ES – Factory reset,  Key check mode, Idle current adjustment procedure
Factory preset mode
Procedure
1. While pressing the [TUNING] and [2CH/A.DIRECT] buttons, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. The message “Factory Preset” appears and specific preset values are set.
Sound field clear mode
The preset sound field is cleared when this mode is activated.
Procedure
1. While pressing the [MUSIC] button, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. The message “S.F. Initialize” appears and initialization is performed.
Fluorescent indicator tube display test
All fluorescent segments are tested. When this test is activated, all segments turn on at the same time, then each segment turns on one after another.
Procedure
1. While pressing the [TONE] and [A.F.D.] buttons, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. All segments and all LEDs turn on.
Swap mode
The signal will be swap to all channel so that all speaker will have sound output.
Procedure:
1. While pressing the [MEMORY/ENTER] and [2CH/A. DIRECT] buttons, press the [POWER] button to turn on the mainpower.
2. The message “SWAP MODE !” appears (No change while displayed).
SETTING LOCK ON/OFF CHANGE MODE
All the settings can be locked.
Procedure:
1. While pressing the [SPEAKERS A/B/A+B/OFF] and [MUSIC] buttons, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. The message “SETTINGS LOCK [ ON]” appears.
Releasing method
1. While pressing the [SPEAKERS A/B/A+B/OFF] and [MUSIC] buttons, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. The message “SETTINGS LOCK [OFF]” appears.
Command mode change mode
The command mode of the remote-commander which this set receives can be changed.
Procedure:
1. While pressing the [2CH/A. DIRECT] button, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. Either the message “COMMAND MODE [AV1]” or “COMMAND MODE [AV2]” appears. Select the desired mode.
Software version display mode
The software version is displayed.
Note: In this mode, never press the [UP] and [DOWN] buttons on the remote commander.
Procedure:
1. While pressing the [TONE] and [MUSIC] buttons, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. The model name/destination/system controller software version appears. Each time the [DISPLAY MODE] button is pressed, the version is switched in order.
(Displayed characters/values in the following figure are example)
Releasing method:
Press the [POWER] button to turn off the main power.
Rebox test mode
Displayed the number of times of the power on after the shipment.
Procedure:
1. While pressing the [A.F.D.] and [SPEAKERS A/B/A+B/OFF] buttons, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. The number of times of the power on after the shipment appears.
Releasing method:
Press the [POWER] button to turn off the main power.
Key check mode
Each buttons can be checked.
Procedure:
1. While pressing the [MEMORY/ENTER] and the [MOVIE/HD-D.C.S.] buttons, press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. Either the message “REST 17” appears.
Every pressing of any button other than the [POWER] counts down the buttons.
(The buttons which are already counted once are not counted again)
3. When all buttons are pressed “REST 00” appears.
Releasing method:
Pull out the power cord, or do not perform operation for 10 seconds.
Special menu mode
Various version displays of system, update, test, etc. can be performed.
Setting method:
1. Press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
2. While pressing the [TONE] button, press the [A.F.D.], [2CH/A. DIRECT], [MUSIC], [MOVIE/HD-D.C.S.] button in order, the message “MENU SPECIALIZED !” appears.
3. Press the [AMP MENU] button of the remote commander, the message “<<< SPECIAL >>>” appears.
4. Press the [RIGHT] button of the remote commander, the item is appears.
5. Each time the [UP] or [DOWN] buttons of the remote commander is pressed, the item is switched in order of “Display of special menu mode”.
Some items can change the content. Display the cursor by pressing the [RIGHT] button of the remote commander, and changing the content by pressing the [UP] or [DOWN] buttons of the remote commander, and fix the content by pressing the [POWER] button of the remote commander when you want to change the content of the item.
Idle current adjustment
Note: After 10 minutes or more have passed since the power supply was turned on, this adjustment is done.
Connection:
CN1561 (CN1611, CN1761, CN1861, CN4441, CN4491) pin 1, CN1561 (CN1761, CN1861) pin 3 – Positive terminal of digital voltmeter
CN1561 (CN1611, CN1761, CN1861, CN4441, CN4491) pin 2, CN1561 (CN1761, CN1861) pin4 - Negative terminal of digital voltmeter
Note: Pin 3, 4 of CN1611, CN4441, CN4491 are open.
Procedure:
1. Connect a digital voltmeter to the CN1561 (CN1611, CN1761, CN1861, CN4441, CN4491).
2. Press the [POWER] button to turn on the main power.
3. Adjust the RV1501 (RV1551, RV1601, RV1701, RV1751, RV1801, RV1851, RV4421, RV4471) so that the digital voltmeter reading is 5 mV to 20 mV.
Note: Adjust for the digital voltmeter reading to become 5 mV as much as possible.

How to calibrate the treadmill – How to access Engineering mode - Spirit Z 900 treadmill

Spirit Z 900 treadmill calibration and engineering mode entry procedure
Calibrating the unit
1. Remove tether cord.
2. Press and hold the START and FAST buttons. Replace the tether cord while maintaining the buttons. Display will show “FACTORY SETTING”. Press ENTER.3. Units English / Metric. Press UP or DOWN to change. Press ENTER.
4. Adjust wheel diameter using UP or DOWN. Should be 2.75. Press ENTER.
5. Adjust minimum speed to 0.5 using UP and DOWN. Press ENTER.
6. Adjust maximum speed to 12 using UP and DOWN. Press ENTER.
7. Adjust maximum elevation to 15 using UP and DOWN.
8. Press START to begin calibration. DO NOT STAND ON BELT DURING CALIBRATION.
Checking wire harness for continuity
1. Set your multimeter to read ohms.
2. Place the test leads at opposite ends of the wire, make sure both leads are on the same wire and are in contact with metal.
3. If the reading is close to 0 ohms, the wire has continuity (unbroken).
4. If the reading is very high or there is no reading at all, there is no continuity.
5. If there is no continuity, the harness needs to be replaced.
Speed sensor adjustment
1. Take off the motor hood.
2. The speed sensor is located on the frame, near where the drive belt goes around the front roller.
3. The sensor should be adjusted to about 1/16th of an inch from the front roller.
Checking treadmill circuit breaker
1. The circuit breaker is a small, red button between the power cord and the power switch.
2. Press the button in to reset.
Check roller for magnet
1. The front roller should have a round magnet and a round counter weight.
2. Take a screw or something metallic and test each one.
3. Only one should be magnetic.

Adjust Torque Boost
1. Using a small screw driver, turn the dial counter clockwise until it stops.
2 Press the START button on the console.
3. With someone standing on the walking belt, turn clockwise until the belt begins to move.
4. Increase the speed and check for smooth belt movement.
Replacing controller
1. Disconnect power cord from unit.
2. Remove motor hood.
3. Remove two Phillips screws holding in the controller.
4. Disconnect all wires connected to the controller.
5. Insert new controller, secure with Phillips screws.
6. Reconnect wires to controller. 
Replacing wire harness
1. Turn power switch off.
2. Unplug harness from console and controller.
3. Tie the end of the new harness to the old harness (with a zip-tie or spare wire).
4. As you pull the old harness out of the upright, you will pull the new harness in.
5. Connect to board and console, & turn power back on.
Replacing drive motor
1. Turn power switch off.
2. Disconnect red and black motor wires from controller.
3. Loosen tension bolt and remove four motor bolts.
4. Take off drive belt.
5. Insert new motor into place.
6. Put drive belt on.
7. Put in four motor bolts. Do not tighten them all the way down.
8. Tighten the tension bolt until you only have about an inch of play in the drive belt.
9. Tighten down the four motor bolts.
10. Plug the motor wires into the controller.
Replacing incline motor

1. Turn power switch off.
2. If possible, fold up unit.
3. Turn treadmill onto its side.
4. Disconnect motor wires from controller.
5. Remove bolt from incline tube.
6. Remove bolt from top of incline motor and take out motor.
7. Insert new motor and put in bolt on the top.
8. Reconnect motor wires to controller.
9. Turn on unit. The new motor should turn until it is at “zero”.
10. Insert bolt into incline tube.
Engineering mode
1. Remove the tether cord.
2. Press and hold the START, ENTER, and STOP buttons and replaced the tether cord.
3. The display will say ENGINEERING MODE. Press ENTER.
4. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to scroll through the following sub menus:
*Calibration
*Factory Settings
*Security
*Functions
*Display Test
*Key Test
5. Press ENTER to access the desired program.
* Calibration Speed Calibration – In this mode, you can test the speed.
* Incline Calibration – In this mode, you can test the incline.
* Factory Settings - This mode will allow you to view the Wheel size, Max inc, Max and Min speed.
Use the UP and DOWN buttons to scroll through. (They cannot be changed here)
* Security Child Lock On/Off
Press ENTER to turn on or off. To unlock display, press START and ENTER.
* Functions Sleep Mode On/Off - Press ENTER to turn on or off.
Units English/Metric -  Press ENTER to change.
Maintenance
Lube Message Reset - Press ENTER to reset. 
Odometer Reset -  Press ENTER to reset.
Pause Mode On/Off -  Press ENTER to turn on or off.
Display Test - Test all LED’s
Key Test - Test all buttons on console.
