When accepting a repair order from the user, it is recommended to receive the YAS-CU207/ATS-CU2070 and NS-WSW42 as a set for the repair work.

Turning on the power to YAS-CU207- ATS-CU2070 makes wireless connection of YAS-CU207- ATS-CU2070 and NS-WSW42 possible. After the repair work, if their wireless connection is not made automatically, makes
it possible manually. (For details, refer to “PAIRING THE CENTER UNIT AND SUBWOOFER MANUALLY”.)

Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Initializing the back-up IC

After updating the firmware, the back-up IC MUST be initialized by the following procedure store the setting information properly.

Connect the power cable of this unit to the AC outlet and turn off the power.
Then, while touching the  (volume –) key, touch the  (power) key, and all indicators will flash and initialization will be completed.

Required Tools
• USB storage device
(For USB2.0 High speed)
• Latest firmware

Preparation
1. Download the latest firmware from the specified
download source to the folder of the PC.
2. Copy the latest firmware from the PC to the root
folder of the USB storage device.
Note: When the latest firmware is copied to a subfolder of the USB storage device, the update will not proceed.

Operation Procedures
*
Disconnect the power cable of this unit from the AC outlet.
1. Insert the USB storage device to the UPDATE ONLY jack.
2. Connect the power cable of this unit to the AC outlet.
3. Turn off the power of this unit. (Fig. 1)
4. Keep touching the  (volume –) and  (power) keys until the CLEAR VOICE indicator flashes.
Update of the firmware starts automatically.

(If writing of the firmware has failed, disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet and perform the firmware updating procedure again from the beginning.)

5. When writing of the firmware is completed, all indicators flash.
6. Touch the  (power) key to turn off the power.
7. Remove the USB storage device from the UPDATE ONLY jack.

If there is anything abnormal with this unit, its protection function works to turn off the power even if it is turned on.
Touch the (power) key again to turn on the power, and the DD / DTS indicator indicates the causal factor of the protection function.

Flashing pattern
For the protection function display, the same flashing pattern is repeated 5 times.

How to enter the Factory OSD Menu

With user’s RC
Power on the TV.
1. Press “Menu” button and call up User OSD Menu.
2. Select “ Sound” -> press “OK” button on RC to ensure then move (Down)  button to “Balance” item.
3. Press number key 1->9->6 ->9 in sequence when “Balance” item is focused.
Note: If necessary, re-do number keys.
4. Factory OSD appears.
Note: DC power off that can exit factory OSD menu.

Software upgrading

USB upgrade
USB upgrade includes two methods. One is USB directly upgrade the other is USB menu upgrade.

Upgrading file rename – MSD3463 (underscore) SN51 (underscore) 75.bin

USB directly upgrade

Put the MSD3463-SN51-75.BIN In root diarectory of USB disk.  Unplug the TV power cord and plug the U disk to the TV

Plug the TV power cord ,TV will update automatically. Update processing red and blue led indicator flash alternately slow.

When Update finished, the red and blue led indicator flash alternately fast. and re-plug the power cord to power on

USB menu upgrade

Insert USB disc thet only have one upgrading file XX.bin in root disk

Enter the Factory OSD Menu

Choose Factory menu > Function > Software Update (USB) to start the update

After the process is over, unplug the USB disk and re plug the power cord to power on.

Mstar Tool upgrade

Install the USB-serial driver

(PL 2303 Driver installer.rar)

For the first connecting ,the PC will recognize and automatically install the USB device.the process is just like the installation of mini disk.

Hardware connecting
You can update the software through a special tool a USB-to –serial port (as following)
USB port to your PC and the serial to the TV’S VGA port.

Install the ISP_Utility V4.5.2.8 -------only for the first time update.
Connect the PC and main board with the USB-serial board
Click the” Config “button. And then a dialog window will show as below.
Draw on the front of “Use USB”
Port Type setting is USB
Base Addr setting is 0x38C
ISP Slave Address choose 0x92
Serial Debug Slave Address choose 0xB2

Click the Connect button if appear the following figure, It indicates that the ISP_TOOL has connected.

If appear the following figure It indicates that the ISP_TOOL has not connected. Please click the Dis Con button and click Connect button to connect again.. Check: a Power on b USB board connect c connection line match.

Click the“Read ”button

Click the“Auto”button and choose parameters as following.

Then Click the “Run” button to start

If show” error message “then click the “Run” button again and again till show the dialog window.

Factory Mode (Service Mode)
Press the following key sequence on a standard RC transmitter: “1999” directly followed by MENU.

 Method 1: The following update is for .bin file.
1. Rename the file to “MstarUpgrade.bin”
2. Prepare a USB memory.
3. Copy the software to USB flash disk(root directory).
4
Press [menu+1999 ],enter the factory menu, Choose [main Updates], then press

5. Software update menu will pop up when press confirm key, then select “Yes” to confirm:

6. When the TV software is updated, the TV will turn on again automatically. Remove your USB flash drive.

Method 2
Copy the software to USB flash disk ,Keep pressing VOL+ key on the machine panel, power on the machine, the standby light flashes quickly after about 5 seconds, standby light extinguish and turn into lighting after about 3 minutes, means that the upgrade is
completed.
Caution

When the machine Upgrading (U disk light flash), do not remove U disk or switch off the power, otherwise it will destroy the software and lead cannot upgrade.
The machine must be power off when inserted or pulled out U disk, to avoid U disk or damage the machine.

Panel PN
Press the following key sequence on a standard RC transmitter: “1999” directly followed by MENU, can see the panel type information from factory menu, see the Panel PN from the configuration table.

Power Supply Unit
All power supplies are a black box for Service. When defective, a new board must be ordered and the defective one must be returned, unless the main fuse of the board is broken. Always replace a defective fuse with one with the correct specifications! This part is available in the regular market.  Consult the Philips Service web portal for the order codes of the boards.

Diversity
The diversity in power supply units is mainly determined by the diversity in displays.
The following displays can be distinguished:
CCFL/EEFL backlight: power panel is conventional IPB
LED backlight:
- side-view LED without scanning: PSL power panel
- side-view LED with scanning: PSLS power panel
- direct-view LED without 2D-dimming: PSL power panel
- direct-view LED with 2D-dimming: PSDL power panel.
PSL stands for Power Supply with integrated LED-drivers.
PSLS stands for a Power Supply with integrated LED-drivers with added Scanning functionality (added microcontroller).
PSDL stands for a Power Supply for Direct-view LED backlight with 2D-dimming.

The on-board DC/DC converters deliver the following voltages(depending on set execution):
+5V, permanent voltage for the Stand-by Power system
+3V3-STANDBY,voltage for IR/Key board
+12V, input from the power supply for the panel common(active mode)
